Why the heck am I doing this?

Perfection sounds like a virtue until it starts running your life.

I’m kicking off Most Days with an idea that’s reshaped how I work, parent, and lead: nobody is consistent every day. But you can still show up consistently most days. That mindset creates breathing room without giving up ambition. It also helps you stop treating normal human limits like personal failures.

I also answer the question I’ve been asking myself for months: why am I doing this? I talk through the real motivations. Accountability, since my partners aren’t the type to check on me. Self-reflection as a way to slow time down, especially after having kids. And the fact that I’ve always loved teaching as I learn. I’ll also say the quiet part out loud: I think I just like the sound of my own voice.

Then I lay out what to expect from the show. Short solo episodes that respect your time. “Naptime with Courtney and Kevin,” where my husband and I talk about working together and navigating family. Owner-operator interviews with founders and CEOs who’ve lived the gritty parts. Occasional book reviews.

If you like honest stories, imperfect progress, and lessons you can use at work and at home, you’re in the right place.

Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs permission to be imperfect, and leave a review. What’s one thing you’re trying to get better at most days?
